A Non-Dispersive Signal Construction Method for High Resolution Lamb Wave Damage Imaging

Abstract


In practical applications, the spatial resolution of Lamb wave imaging is easily affected by the dispersion effect. In this paper, a non-dispersive signal construction (ND-SC) method is developed for dispersion compensation of Lamb waves. After the Lamb wave sensing model is established in frequency domain, ND-SC is theoretically studied. A high spatial resolution damage imaging method is developed based on NDSC and the traditional delay-and-sum algorithm. The proposed ND-SC and high resolution imaging methods are validated by experimental studies.
